WHTZ 1: a high excitation Planetary Nebula not a gaseous cocoon from runaway star HD 185806

چکیده

ABSTRACT We present evidence that the nebular cocoon and bow-shock emission nebula putatively recently reported as deriving from 9th magnitude ‘runaway’ star HD 185806 is previously discovered but obscure Planetary Nebula WHTZ 1 (Ra 7). It has a Gaia DR3 G∼16 blue ionizing at its geometric centre. imagery, spectroscopy, other data arguments to support this source high excitation not stellar wind bow shock.

The remarkably high excitation planetary nebula GC 6537.

NGC 6537 is an unusually high excitation point symmetric planetary nebula with a rich spectrum. Its kinematical structures are of special interest. We are here primarily concerned with the high resolution spectrum as revealed by the Hamilton echelle Spectrograph at Lick Observatory (resolution approximately 0.2 A) and supplemented by UV and near-UV data. These extensive data permit a determinat...

Webo 1: a Young Barium Star Surrounded by a Ring-like Planetary Nebula

WeBo 1 (PN G135.6+01.0), a previously unrecognized planetary nebula with a remarkable thinring morphology, was discovered serendipitously on Digitized Sky Survey images. The central star is found to be a late-type giant with overabundances of carbon and s-process elements. The giant is chromospherically active and photometrically variable, with a probable period of 4.7 days; this suggests that ...

SwSt 1: an O-rich planetary nebula around a C-rich central star

The hydrogen-deficient [WCL] type central star HD167362 and its planetary nebula (PN) SwSt 1 are investigated. The central star has a carbon-rich emission line spectrum and yet the nebula exhibits a 10-μm emission feature from warm silicate dust, perhaps indicating a recent origin for the carbon-rich stellar spectrum. Its stellar and nebular properties might therefore provide further understand...

Tomography of the low excitation planetary nebula NGC 40

Spatially resolved, long-slit echellograms at different position angles of the bright, low excitation planetary nebula NGC 40 indicate that the higher the gas excitation, the faster the radial motion, thus confirming the overturn of the Wilson law already suggested by Sabbadin & Hamzaoglu (1982). New reduction procedures, giving the radial trends of the electron density and of the ionic and che...

The central star of the Planetary Nebula NGC 6537

The fact that Space Telescope WFPC2 images of the planetary nebula NGC 6537 fail to show the central star is used to derive a limit to its magnitude: it is fainter than a magnitude of 22.4 in the visible. This is used to derive a lower limit to the temperature of the star. The Zanstra temperature is at least 500 000 K. The Energy Balance temperature is found to be consistent with this value, as...
